Mastopexy

Mastopexy (breast lift) – is a surgery performed to raise and reshape breasts that have sagged after pregnancy, weight loss, aging or other reasons. Excess breast tissues (gland, adipose, skin) are removed, the nipple-areola complex is transposed higher upon the breast hemisphere. In some cases mastopexy can be combined with breast augmentation surgery.
Circumareolar lift – recommended for women with small breasts. Incision is made only around the nipple-areola complex. . Scarring is minimal.
Circumvertical lift – the most popular technique. Incision is made around the circumference of the nipple-areola complex and vertical from the lower edge of the nipple-areola complex periphery to the inframammary fold. Breast tissues are removed and reshaped to achieve the desired contour. The nipple and areola may be moved higher or resized as well.
- is carried out under general anesthesia;
- you can leave the clinic in 1 or 3 days after the surgery;
- lasts no more than 3 hours;
- stitches are removed within 2 weeks;
- the convalesce period – from 1 to 2 weeks;
- surgical dressing should be worn for 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
Recovery
- small body temperature increase can be observed within several days after the surgery;
- it is not recommended to take a shower within 7-10 days after the surgery;
- it is recommended to avoid physical activity within 1 month after the surgery.

Contra-indications
- aspirin use;
- tobacco smoking;
- infectious and oncological diseases;
- diabetes;
- systemic illness;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- age till 18 years.
